Selecting booksAll students studying at Wolverhampton College, Wulfrun Campus are welcomed and encouraged to use The Learning Centre. Where you have access to a wide range of learning materials to help you with your studies.

Information about materials held in the Centre is available through our on-line computer catalogue.

We hold a comprehensive range of:

  • Books for loan
  • Reference books
  • Periodicals
  • Newspapers
  • Press cutting files
  • University and College prospectuses

If you need to use books or periodical articles not held in our stock we can obtain them for you through the inter-library loan network.

Audio tapes, Videos and CD-Roms

Video based learning materialsThe Library also stocks a variety of audio visual materials, for example video and audio cassettes for use on equipment within the Library.

In addition you can access information on CD-ROM, not just for immediate course work but also to help you make choices about Higher education and your Career.

Computer Facilities

The Learning Centre also provides over 30 IBM-compatible computers, networked to a range of printers and scanners. Some of the computers provide students with access to the internet, while others are Multimedia machines - for which we have a wide range of CD software available.

Students may use the Centre to prepare notes, projects and assignments and also to become better acquainted with popular IT applications. The multimedia and internet machines can be used as an excellent means of finding out information.

A wide range of computer programs and associated learning material is available in the Centre so novices, as well as more experienced operators, will be able to use the machines.

Support Staff are on hand to help.. The range of programs available allow students to work on:

 

  • Word processing
  • Spreadsheets
  • Databases
  • Accounting
  • Desktop Publishing
  • Computer-aided design
  • Graphics

Self study learning guides are also available for use with software.

Support staff are on hand to offer help when it is needed.
